Joan Chen, Trainee Clinical Psychologist
After completing my undergraduate degree in Psychology, I entered the workforce and gained 8 years of experience across various fields in a range of roles. However, I always had my heart set on working in the field of psychology. This passion led me to pursue a Master’s in Developmental Psychology, where I had the privilege of working with neurodiverse children. Wanting to deepen my knowledge and clinical skills, I am now completing my training in Clinical Psychology.
As part of my clinical journey, I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Person-Centred Therapy (PCT) to support individuals in a safe, compassionate, and collaborative space. My clinical experience includes working with neurodiverse populations, as well as individuals facing mood-related difficulties, adjustment issues, and relational challenges.
I am committed to creating a therapeutic environment that fosters empathy, reflection, and growth, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside clients in their journey towards clarity, acceptance, and psychological well-being.
