May San, Trainee Counselor

My work history has taken me through Human Resources, Corporate Affairs, Administration, Management, and writing—but beneath it all has always been a curiosity about people. I wanted to understand what drives us, how we cope, and how we grow. Yet for many years, I struggled with my own emotions. Raised in a family where feelings were rarely spoken about, I learned to keep mine hidden, leaving me feeling numb and disconnected.

Rediscovering my emotions has been a powerful journey—one that has shaped how I show up as a counsellor trainee. I know how difficult it can be when words don’t come easily, or when emotions feel unfamiliar or overwhelming. In my practice, I offer a space where you don’t have to have the “right” words, just the willingness to show up as you are. I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where you can take the time to understand yourself, your feelings, and the patterns that shape your life. Together, we’ll work to uncover your inner voice, reconnect with your feelings, and create space for healing and growth.
