As a clinical psychologist, I have always been drawn to the field of mental health due to my own lived experiences. Growing up, I struggled with poor self esteem and anxiety, and wondered to myself, “It is shameful to be living as such, but would it be more shameful if I sought help?”. That was the catalyst of my journey in discovering the transformative power of therapy, and I knew that I wanted to help others in the same way that I believe someone could have helped the younger version of me. My personal journey has instilled in me a deep sense of empathy and understanding for my clients, and has allowed me to develop a therapeutic approach that is both compassionate and evidence-based.

One of my greatest aspirations as a clinical psychologist is to make therapy a norm in our society. I believe that everyone can benefit from therapy, regardless of their background or current struggles, or even if you are solely looking to improve yourself. Ultimately, my goal as a clinical psychologist is to help my clients cultivate happiness and lead meaningful lives. Happiness is akin to a long drive and my role is to guide you to the gas station for fuel before you run out. My hope is that every client who walks through my door leaves feeling heard, validated, and equipped with the tools to believe that there still is meaning, love, and hope.
